December 3rd – 4th, 2024 | Tbilisi, Georgia

ICOM International Committee for Marketing and Public Relations (MPR), ICOM Georgia, the Georgian National Museum, the Academia Europaea Tbilisi Regional Centre, and the Tbilisi Museums Union invite you to join the international workshop Everything in a Museum Communicates in Tbilisi, Georgia, from 3 to 4 December 2024.

This capacity-building activity, open to the cultural sector and designed to develop the skills and capacities of museum professionals of all ages and backgrounds, is to be held at the Tbilisi State University, and Ilia Chavchavadze Literary-Memorial Museum followed by a special tour around the Exhibition Hall of Lado Gudiashvili Foundation, is part of the Museum Communications at a Crossroads: Empowering Our Communities in Times of Change and Crisis conference (December 4-7).

New perspectives

The workshop, conducted by ICOM MPR board members Luis Marcelo Mendes (Mr.) and Natia Khuluzauri (Ms.), is a fast-paced and intense program designed to help museum professionals understand the role of communications and strategic brand management as structural elements of a museum, enhance the perception of how a museum’s verbal and non-verbal elements can dramatically influence the visitor experience, and learn how to empower their museum’s mission and value proposition.

However, the most valuable outcome is networking in a safe, welcoming space where professionals can share their experiences, dreams, frustrations, and accomplishments.

This is a free program, including coffee breaks and a special tour for the workshop participants. All travel costs are at the participant’s expense.
