Conference Overview:
Join us in Tbilisi, one of Europe’s most historic and architecturally fascinating cities, at the crossroads of Europe and Asia. Located on the ancient Silk Road, Tbilisi has long been a key hub connecting diverse cultures and civilizations. This conference will address museums’ crucial role in navigating periods of change and crisis.

- 7 October: Notification of Proposal and Travel Grant Status.
- 4 December: On-site Registration and Check-in, Walking Tours, Opening Reception

ICOM MPR Travel Grants:
The MPR grant program offers grants of up to €600 euros to provide financial support for airfare (in the most reasonable level of Economy Class), ground transportation, and accommodation for the duration of the meeting. The grant will not cover insurance, medical coverage, meals, and other expenses related to the members’ participation.
As required by funding from ICOM, two (2) of the grants will be given to qualified applicants 40 years of age or younger.
Call for Proposals of Presentations and Articles:
Our conference will focus on in-person participation in Tbilisi, with limited opportunities for virtual or pre-recorded presentations. All presentations will be streamed live and posted on YouTube after the conference. All presenters will be expected to write an article for a post-conference online publication. Our colleagues of ICOM Georgia have curated a wonderful day for registered conference attendees to explore Georgia! Separate registration and a fee (to be announced) will be required. You will select one of the following:
